After the successful launch of its flagship device OnePlus 6 in India last month, the Chinese smartphone maker gearing up for another major event in the country. OnePlus is hosting its Open Ears community feedback event in India on July 7, 2018. The event, which is the first such event in the country, is aimed at helping the company to interact with its core users in the country to get a constructive feedback on all aspects of the product including the hardware and the software.
Open Ears is a unique event wherein the community members help the company resolve various issues. While the event held in Stockholm in March focused on Customer Support, the event held in San Francisco in April emphasised on a better OxygenOS experience and the in event held in Hamburg, the community members talked about incorporating important changes to the camera. And now the company is holding the event in India which is themed around “Product”.
“Our ‘Never Settle’ motto means we are always eager to improve ourselves, and our users play a significant role when developing new releases. Keeping this in mind, we wanted to hear directly from our Indian fans,” Pete Lau, founder of OnePlus said adding that with the feedback received via the Open Ears event, the company intended to create a smartphone that catered to the needs of its users. “We appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with our users, contributing to the development of new features and products,” he added.
As per the details listed on the OnePlus community forum, interested candidates will have to apply for the event on the company’s community forum until 11:59PM on June 12. The company will then select 30 candidates whose participation will be confirmed by June 15.
