Samsung has launched the Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 2018 edition phones in the US. Although, it has kept much of their spec sheets as well as their prices a closely guarded secret, for now, it has announced that the Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 2018 will both come with HD screens and long-lasting batteries. Both the phones will be available for buying from select retail and carrier partners in the US, starting in early June and throughout the summer.
While the Samsung Galaxy J3 2018 will come with a 5-inch 720p display, the Galaxy J7 2018 will have a larger 5.5-inch 720p screen. While the Galaxy J3 2018 will ship with an 8-megapixel camera on the rear with f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture, the Galaxy J7 2018 will come with a 13-megapixel camera on both the front (f/1.9) as well as on the back (f/1.7).
Both the phones will come with Samsung Knox integration and Samsung+ app to offer real-time customer care support with features like Live Voice Chat, community support, and tips all bundled in.
“When it comes to smartphones, we know that one size doesn’t fit all. The Galaxy lineup is designed to give consumers the flexibility to choose the phone that best fits their needs,” Justin Denison, senior vice president, Mobile Product Strategy and Marketing at Samsung Electronics America said in a press statement. “The J3 delivers high-quality features at a great price, and the J7 with its huge HD screen and amazing, advanced camera, is built for users who want more.”
Samsung hasn’t revealed whether it will be bringing the Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 2018 phones to global markets including India anytime soon.
Samsung, to recall, launched the Galaxy J6, Galaxy J8, Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ phones in India recently at a starting price of Rs 13,990. The Galaxy J6, Galaxy J8, Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ have been seemingly designed to take on other budget and mid-tier offerings from companies like Xiaomi, Honor and Asus, on the back of a couple features never seen before in Samsung’s affordable line-up. These include Samsung’s proprietary Infinity display and latest Android Oreo software. All these phones also come with a Chat-over-Video feature, that Samsung says, has been designed in India for India.
